Kenyon Midget Series

Named for the most legendary midget driver of all time, the Kenyon Midget Series continues to show that midget racing is an ideal platform for the development of the next generation of racing stars. Mel’s racing career included 380 midget feature wins, 7 USAC National Midget championships, and 8 starts in the Indy 500! Mel and his brother Don Kenyon have developed the cars and the series with a goal to provide competitive racing while also keeping costs in check. Racing takes place at many popular local short tracks. Costs are controlled by using the proven Kenyon Car chassis with reliable Yamaha powerplants. Rules are focused on safety, cost, and creating a level playing field, while still allowing freedom in chassis setup. This provides teams and drivers the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of driving, maintaining, and setting up open wheel race cars. Mel and Don continue to be heavily involved in the series, helping young drivers, and providing guidance to new teams.
